Overview
Akhfenir, about 450 km, partly off-road with 4×4 through beautiful landscapes, and combined with a 4 to 6 hour walk every day through the most beautiful parts. Remote and desolate, this part of the coast is not touristy, but no less beautiful!
Walk from Mirleft, along the rough coast over several beaches to the beach Tamajarush. Short walk on the beach of Legzira to admire the huge ocher-colored rock arches. A 3-hour walk in the beautiful riverbed of Assaka. A coastal walk along jagged rocks. A few hours’ walk on Plage Blanche, a 40km long beach with the desert on one side and the sea on the other. Walking in the riverbed of the Drâa, the longest river in Morocco, sometimes called “ghost river” because in Mhamid the river disappears under the desert sand to return to the surface 750km further just before it reaches the sea. A few hours of hiking in the area of Ksar Tafnidilt with a local guide. Explore a part of the Ma Fatma riverbed. A day hike in the Khenifiss National Park starting from the lagoon Naila. On the way back, inland a walk from the hot spring to the Oase of Tighmert….
Sleeping every night in a different location, in an apartment, hotel or gite and one night in a tent camp. In the morning a typical Moroccan breakfast, take a picnic on the walk and enjoy a nice dinner in the evening!
The temperature on the south coast is between 20 and 25 degrees all year round with hardly any rain, making the trekking winter and summer possible.
